Supporting Education & Families
CERF awarded five scholarships to high school students in Samoa, with each scholarship covering a full year of tuition along with two sets of required school uniforms.
In Samoa, secondary education is not free, and many families must shoulder the costs of tuition, uniforms, and school supplies. These scholarships helped ease that financial burden, allowing students to attend school consistently and remain focused on their education and future goals.
Community Relief Efforts
Following the devastating measles outbreak in late 2019, which claimed the lives of 83 people, primarily infants and young children, CERF also provided emergency support to affected communities across Samoa.
The organization delivered essential food supplies to eleven families who had lost loved ones during the epidemic. Support packages included:
- 25-pound bags of rice
- Flour and baking essentials
- Boxes of noodles
- Canned goods and pantry supplies
These efforts were intended to provide immediate relief and comfort during an incredibly difficult period for many Samoan families.
