Supporting Students and Teachers in 2005
In its early stages in 2005, CERF focused on providing essential educational and hygiene resources to students and teachers across Samoa.
The organization distributed 830 student kits and 50 teacher kits, helping equip classrooms and support families with much-needed supplies.
Student & Teacher Supply Kits
Each kit contained a combination of school supplies and personal hygiene items designed to support both learning and student well-being.
- 830 student kits distributed
- 50 teacher kits provided to educators
- School supplies including pencils, notebooks, pens, and crayons
- Hygiene items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, and nail clippers
- School bags and small toys included for students
Schools Supported
The kits were delivered to five elementary schools throughout Samoa:
- Pesega Fou Elementary School
- Liahona Elementary School
- Laulii Elementary School
- Afega Elementary School
- Manunu Elementary School
The support was especially important for Pesega Fou and Liahona, which were newly established schools created to serve the Pesega community after the closure of a local LDS elementary school.
Through these early outreach efforts, CERF laid the foundation for its long-term mission of supporting education, health, and opportunity for children and families throughout Samoa.
